Match Report: Broughton Park 1st XV v Didsbury Toc H
A game of two very different halves.
The first half was littered with errors from Park. Kicking failed to find its targets, basic mistakes crept in, and the visitors took full advantage. Didsbury Toc H crossed for a couple of early tries and steadily added to the scoreboard, while Park struggled to make any meaningful ground. It took nearly 30 minutes before Park began to show the quality rugby they are capable of.

The second half told a completely different story. Park emerged with renewed control and intent, picking up where they had finished the first half. Two quick scores followed, allowing Park to edge ahead on the scoreboard and put the visitors under real pressure.
After 20 minutes, Didsbury finally found their rhythm again, capitalising on a lapse in Park’s concentration to score their fifth try of the afternoon. Clearly unsettled by Park’s second‑half resurgence, the visitors opted to take a penalty when the chance presented itself.

Park responded late on with another try and pushed hard for a winner, but time ultimately ran out. With perhaps five more minutes on the clock, the result could well have been different.
